It's ALL ABOUT  THE DETAILS

"My approach to photography combines the beauty of fine art with the energy, innocence and realness of people. My goal with every session is to allow you to relax and have fun with your family, while I capture the beauty of who you really are."

It's All About the Details...

To fully convey the beauty and individuality of every person I photograph, I like to keep my sessions relaxed and natural. I find the strongest images come in times when the subject is unaware that they are being photographed~ resulting in an emotional portrait displaying who they truly are.

I strive to keep each photographic session as unique as the family I am photographing. Therefore, sessions should be held at a location that is right for you. This could be a park, the beach, a favorite place, or even your home. Typically, sessions last between one to two hours~ but can easily be shorter or longer depending on your goals and expectations.  In fact, once I arrive, I like to spend time getting to know you and your little ones, so that everybody is relaxed and comfortable before we begin.

During your session, I like to play and really interact with your children… making the whole "picture taking process" more like "fun and play time"! Children are encouraged to have fun and express themselves without being pressured to "smile at the camera". Smiles, frowns, "bed-head" hair, a scraped elbow or knee~ these are all part of childhood and allow for beautiful and honest photographs.

However, if during your session, your youngster wants to snack, rest, or anything else~ that’s okay too! I can either hang back and let them relax or I can continue to snap away, capturing those honest and natural moments that occur in life.
